Let the Confirmation Games Begin

Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor has announced she is retiring from the court. President Bush and our leaders in the Senate now have the opportunity to prove they are actually mature adults who can professionally handle the nomination and confirmation of a new justice.

Will the President needlessly provoke the Democrats with a controversial nominee? Will the Democrats needlessly obstruct the nomination by pretending a mainstream conservative is extreme?
