Wizards Make the Playoffs?!?

The Yellow Line would like to congratulate the Washington Wizards on clinching a playoff berth for the first time since 1997. While this particular writer is a die-hard San Antonio Spurs fan, the Wizards achievement sure is a nice surprise for a city where playoffs are about as common as…jeez, this is too easy…about as common as bi-partisan compromises. About as common as a pithy John Kerry speech. A well-articulated Bush comment. A Tom DeLay/Ted Kennedy love-in. A…you get the point. There aren’t a lot of playoffs in DC and so we’re glad to have ‘em. Thanks, Wizards.
