Ashcroft moves to K Street

The Hill is reporting that former Attorney General James Ashcroft will open a new lobbying shop to provide "strategic consulting, security and internal investigative services, and crisis counseling" to corporations, political coalitions and trade associations.

Ashcroft will be joined at the Ashcroft Group, LLC. by former chief of staff David Ayres and Juleanna Glover Weiss, a lobbyist with Clark and Weinstock and formerly an aide to Vice President Dick Cheney.

While the Yellow Line does not agree with the former AG's political beliefs, we wish him well on his new endeavor.
