Card asks Democrats to play nice

The Associated Press is reporting that President Bush’s chief of staff, Andrew Card, appealed to Democrats to work with the administration and Republicans on Capitol Hill rather than “complain and stall” legislative action.

Card, appearing on the weekend talk show circuit, also reaffirmed the president’s support for House Majority Leader Tom Delay and the nomination of John Bolton to be the next ambassador to the United Nations.

Democrats responded by complaining that Bush and Republican leaders have refused to engage in a true bipartisan debate.

The Yellow Line recommends that everyone involved visit the Play Nice Foundation, an organization designed to promote a safe, positive environment for children to play sports through educating players, parents, coaches, and officials in acceptable behavioral practices. Maybe they can all learn something.
