Live from New York, It's Tom Delay!

Saturday Night Live opened its show last night with a parody of Tom Delay. The gist? That DeLay has his opponents killed. That was the whole point to this profoundly unfunny skit.

Nevertheless, it’s never a good sign when a congressman is notorious enough to warrant his own opening SNL skit. DeLay might be able to hold his Republican shield together, but can he survive the court of public opinion? Look for Leno and Letterman to start cracking wise about DeLay next. Let’s just hope they’re actually funny.
