Abortion – just the data

The Alan Guttmacher Institute, a nonprofit group that collects information from abortion providers and public sources, unveiled a new analysis of abortion data showing that the number of US women having the procedure is continuing its decade-long decline and now stands at its lowest level since 1976.

Questions about Roe v Wade are certain to be prominent during the upcoming Supreme Court nominee hearings. This data provides good insight into the prominence of abortion currently in our society.

Better access to birth control will inevitably lead to fewer abortions.

Better public education regarding that accessible birth control will most likely reduce the abortion rate as well.

IMO, the screaming need isn't to do away with abortions, it's to help prevent anyone from needing one.
