Nations governors visit Iowa

The nation’s governors gathered in Iowa this weekend to discuss items related to the growing costs of Medicare, improving education, and increasing global competition.

However, as Iowa hosts the nation’s first presidential caucuses, the speculation as to which of the nation’s governors will be seeking the presidency in 2008 began in earnest. Among the nation’s governors expected to seek their party’s nomination are George Pataki (R) of New York, Tom Vilsack (D) of Iowa, Mike Huckabee (R) of Arkansas, Mark Warner (D) of Virgina, Mitt Romney (R) of Massachusetts.

Several of these individuals are intriguing to Centrists. TYL looks forward to hearing more about each of these individuals and seeing just who will make the official plunge into the 2008 race.
